Booking a Session with Khurana Kreative Photography: What to Expect

As a lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Vancouver, BC, I know how important it is to feel comfortable and supported before stepping in front of the camera. That’s why I’ve created a simple, transparent, and heartfelt process to help you feel confident every step of the way. Here’s what you can expect when you book a session with me:

1. Inquire Through the Website

Start by filling out the inquiry form on my contact page. Share a few details about what you're looking for: the type of session (portraits, couples, family, headshots, or event photography), your ideal dates, and any inspiration or ideas you have. I’ll respond within 48 hours to discuss availability and any next steps.

2. Let’s Chat About Your Vision

Once we connect, we’ll have a brief conversation over email or phone to align on your vision. I love learning about your story, the people involved, and the vibe you're going for. Whether it’s soft and candid, bold and editorial, or joyful and colorful, your session will be tailored to you.

3. Confirming the Booking

After our chat, I’ll send over a session agreement and invoice to confirm your booking. A non-refundable retainer secures your date and time. Everything is outlined clearly, so you know exactly what to expect—no surprises!

4. Prep & Planning Support

Once booked, I’ll send over a prep guide with styling tips, outfit suggestions, and location ideas (think: parks, beaches, urban backdrops, nature trails, or indoor studios around Metro Vancouver). I’ll also answer any questions you have about timing, lighting, weather, and props.

5. Session Day: Relax & Be You

On the day of your session, all you need to do is show up as yourself. I’ll guide you through relaxed posing, movement prompts, and candid moments so you never feel stiff or awkward. My job is to make you feel comfortable and seen—and we’ll have fun doing it.

6. Proofs & Final Gallery

You’ll receive a selection of unedited "proofs" within a few days after your session. These are lightly processed previews for you to review and select your favorite images. If your session package includes 25 final images, you’ll choose your top 25 from the proofs. You’ll also have the option to purchase additional images if you fall in love with more!

Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll edit your final images with care and deliver your complete gallery via a private online link within 1–2 weeks. Your gallery will be downloadable in high-resolution and ready to share, print, and cherish.

7. Ongoing Connection

Many of my clients come back for milestone after milestone—and nothing makes me happier. Whether it's your engagement, your first baby, or a new headshot for your next chapter, I’m honoured to be part of your journey.
